When you start your first job in accounting you will undoubtedly have countless questions. The most effective way to have a greater understanding of your company is by researching them prior. By researching the company prior you will gain a greater understanding of the company, their intentions, their operations, priorities and what they expect you as an employee to offer to them. A willingness to ask questions is key. This will help you better understand your job role and will also give the impression that you are a keen learner and are genuinely interested. If you receive constructive criticism from colleagues it is important to acknowledge their concerns and work towards improving your performance. Receiving constructive feedback is essential in growing within a field, particularly when you have limited experience.
